The series recounts the fun adventures of Nefertine – a special little girl endowed with lively intelligence, inexhaustible curiosity and great courage. She can read and write, and it makes her unique! She aspires to be the first female scribe in the history of Egypt. In fact, she is already a budding young journalist who writes her adventures in her papyrus-diary. But she also has her difficulties. Some children think she is a bit weird and sometimes make fun of her.

Of all the kids, the one who harasses her the most is Tanfenaton, a young bully who never misses a chance to stir up trouble for her. Luckily she has her loyal friend Piramses by her side, as well as her cat Micerina!
